NEW DISCOVERIES FOUND IN THE BIBLICAL CITY OF DAVID (1 hour seminar)

We were delighted to co-host an exclusive webinar with the Israel Tourism Office. For those who missed out or just want to watch again here it is.

This lecture will focus on the new discoveries made in the Biblical City of David, with a discussion on the ongoing excavation of the Roman period street from the times of Christ, which has been excavated for over the last four years.

This street once connected the Pool of Siloam (where Jesus Christ healed the blind man as described in John 9:7) and the Temple Mount. Excavations at the City of David National Park have been taking place over the last 160 years, and more thoroughly in the last few decades. New and impressive discoveries unfold from time to time, and these strengthen our understanding of the holy Scriptures The lecture, delivered by Dr. Shahar Shilo, will focus on the Biblical interpretations of the findings and their importance to the authentication of the bible. There will be discussion into some exciting theological contexts between the ancient Bible and the New Testament.

Dr. Shilo has researched the City of David for 11 years, where he has published both his thesis and his doctoral research.
